In the framework of industrial projects, notably the development of "application software", Biolog-id guarantees the whole of the essential stages and processes, allowing them to go from the expression of the need for a computer to the functional realisation of the equipment and/or the software solution.

Having been a builder-integrator specialist for more than 30 years in the mobile data processing, database and electronic identification, Biolog-id develops innovative solutions specifically adapted to the application of its clients.

This contribution develops from the supplying of "intellectual" services (R&D, methodology...), to providing the whole of the material and means necessary for the accomplishment and the setting-up of the solution.

A continuum of services

For all these reasons, Biolog-id is organised for the study and the unfolding of complete solutions. The company has at its disposal a Hardware research and development team, a Software development team, a structure dedicated to projects and a test and maintenance platform.

Biolog-id guarantees the management of the global project from the preliminary stage of identifying the needs, up to the implementation stage and setting-up the solution,  especially with the installation of materials and software, as well as user training.

Our service and the different identified tasks are:

• At the start of the project,  setting-up of site "audits",
• Analysing the technical and functional specifications of the needs,
• Elaborating probative and functional articles and conditions,
• Drafting functional and detailed specifications,
• Developing the application,
• Developing the user interfaces between the application and the site information system,
• Supplying the material and all the accessories necessary for the good functioning of the application,
• Studying in order to determine the integration constraints, the electronic architecture, trying the first approach to implantation,
• Helping to draft the validation protocols (FAT, SAT),
• Defining the guides and user documentation,
• The industrialisation phase with production tools validation,
• A training service.

And for each element of the solution:

• The elaboration of a file of detailed conception,
• The setting-up of a program for validation test,
• The "prototypical" phase according to the diagrams, listings...,
• The validation test report,
• The range of tests specification,
• The characterization tests report,
• The validation of the solution,
• The certification of the products.

Crossing from one task to another is accompanied by the drafting of documents approved and validated by all the intervening parties concerned.

For new products and/or software developments, risk-analyzing tools are set in place.  They allow the parties responsible for the project to validate the opportunity of developments and resources to assign to the project

Criteria of critical threshold are used and evaluate the extent of the risk, particularly technical.

Procedure for the driving of the project and quality process

Each project is integrated in the Project Driving Procedure (PDP) and the quality process of Biolog-id. This implies the follow-up of certain rules of good practice such as:

• Establishing of a project document follow-up so as to centralise all the documents exchanged,
• Definition of the intervening parties and their roles as well as the organisation of the follow-up,
• Presentation of a detailed plan integrating all the phases set into place with the different intervening parties,
• Drafting of the reference documents,
• Documents and applications validation.

A collaborative undertaking is put into place between the client and our business so as to facilitate the project follow-up, during the duration of the establishment and setting-up of the solution.

As an intern, Biolog-id puts into place a project structure systematically with an Engineer - Project leader as unique interlocutor. His missions are, notably: to organise and manage the meetings for piloting, assisting all the participants in the coordination of the project, making sure that the provisional time-table agreed at the start of the project is adhered to, preparing and assisting the teams during the test phases, constituting a project follow-up file to centralise all the exchange documents.
